Farmers brought their geese for sale, and drove them through the streets to the market. Although this practice has virtually stopped, it is still possible to try a goose lunch at the various restaurants and cafes in town on that day. The fair attracts market traders and showmen from all over the country. Stalls and side shows are set up in the centre of the town, and the adjacent roads are filled with over 200 traders. People from all over the West Country come for the fair, and old and young alike enjoy the atmosphere, especially in the evening when the fairground music plays out over the sounds of squeals of laughter! 16th - 19th Oct Falmouth Oyster Festival. 01326 312300 20th - 25th Oct The Witches of Eastwick at The Theatre Royal
