Crackington Haven

This amazing looking little bay is sheltered from the north by the cliffs of Pencannow and by the headland of Cambeak to the south.

Widemouth Bay

Whether you wish to swim, sunbathe, surf, hunt for marine life in the hundreds of rock pools or just comb the beach for that personal memento, Widemouth offers all this and more.

Sandymouth (Bude)

A National Trust car park can lead you to this lovely beach but beware at low tide when swimming can be dangerous.

Trebarwith

Trebarwith with its vast cliffs, dark caves and fine golden sand with Gull Rock, almost reminiscent of a dogs head, keeping watch off shore, make an excellent scene.

Summerleaze (Bude)

The closest beach to the town with level access from the Summerleaze car park, but also approached via the Downs or from the Canal at low tide.

Crooklets (Bude)

Crooklets often provides ideal conditions for surfers and there are regular surf and life-saving demonstrations throughout the year.

Polzeath

Polzeath is a fantastic place to visit at any time of year. Polzeath beach is one of the finest surfing beaches in the U.K.

Daymer Bay

Daymer bay is in the mouth of the Camel estuary and unlike Polzeath has very little in the way of surf...but it is excellent for swimming, windsurfing, boating or canoeing.

Trevone

Trevone Bay provides a beautiful setting for a traditional Cornish pasty and a picnic. With a safe sandy and rocky beach and excellent surf it's great for family days by the sea.

Harlyn Bay

Watergate Bay / Whipsiderry

Home of the Extreme Academy, where you can learn to surf and all sorts. But, more importantly, home to Jamie Oliver's new restaurant, 15!!

Lusty Glaze (Newquay)

Providing first class wet and dry day facilities, this sheltered beach offers outdoor pursuits for all ages and abilities including childrens activity sessions.

Mawgan Porth

The large expanse of pale golden sand framed by cliffs and sand dunes offers both space and seclusion.

Treyarnon Bay

One of the seven bays for seven days that can be found along this stretch of the North Cornwall coastline is Treyarnon bay, an excellent beach for all manor of seaside activities.

Constantine Bay

Constantine Bay and Boobies Bay are two stunning beaches, both crescents of soft golden sand that form one long beach at low tide.

Fistral (Newquay)

If the surf is up then locals and holidaymakers alike can be found here all year round. New facilities available which include showers, lifeguard centre and first aid facilities.

Porthcothan Bay

Porthcothan is a lovely sandy bay with a small stream, running across a fine golden sandy beach, that is sheltered by sand dunes and craggy headlands.
South Coast

Downderry

A wide and spacious sand/shingle beach with many rock pools at low tide. East beach has a reputation as an unofficial nudist beach.

Bovisand

A sheltered sandy cove with rock pools to explore, this beach is located close to Plymouth and backed by low cliffs.

Portwrinkle

Two sand and shingle beaches with numerous rock pools. Popular with families and the east beach (known as Finnygook beach) can be used by experienced surfers

Wembury

Low cliffs surrounding the small cove of Wembury beach. There are large areas of sand and many rockpools to explore at low tide. .

Seaton

Large sandy beach. All facilities nearby, including car parks, toilets, cafes and pub. Seaton Valley Countryside Park offers walks, picnic and amenity areas.

Whitsand Bay

Three mile stretch of fine sandy beach backed by slate cliffs, reached by paths at Freathy, Tregonhawke and Tregantle.

Millendreath Beach

A sheltered sand and shingle beach with rock pools. All facilities nearby, including boat hire and watersports. Car park, toilets, cafe and pub. Easy access.

East Looe & Plaidy

Car parking either at small quayside park or 15 minute walk from the main car park in West Looe. Easy access. All year dog ban on East Looe beach. Dogs allowed on Plaidy.

Hannafore, West Looe

A long rocky beach which stretches around Hannafore Point to the west of Looe.

Mothecombe

Mothecombe beach lies at the mouth of the Erme facing Wonwell beach.

Talland Bay

There are several small beaches in Talland Bay - the main one by the Beach Cafe is probably the best for children and has sand both at high tide and low tide

Cawsand & Kingsand

Attractive, sheltered sand and shingle beaches with all facilities nearby, including pubs, cafes and beach shops.

Stoke Beach

Wonwell

At low tide the massive expanse of sand sweeps from the main beach up the esturay to the slip road, making it possible to walk along the sands

Challaborough

A sheltered horse-shoe shaped cove with a fine sandy beach. There are excellent walks along the South Devon Coast Path with glorious scenery.

Bigbury on Sea

A beautiful and vast sandy beach backed by low cliffs at the mouth of the River Avon. A real 'must' because of the lovely Burgh Island.

Bantham

Bantham is a vast sandy beach on the South Devon Coast Path. It is backed by marum-covered sand dunes, with many rock pools to explore.

Thurlestone

Owned by the National Trust it is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beach is made up of coarse sand and rocky outcrops, with rock pools to explore at low tide.

Hope Cove

The 3 main beaches at Hope Cove are all small and sheltered by the coastline. Their shores are lapped by small waves, making them perfect for younger children.

Salcombe North Sands

Situated between two headlands, this beach provides fantastic coastal views and is completely submerged at high tide. There are miles of safe inland sailing along this stretch of coastline.

Salcombe South Sands

A fine sandy family beach which is accessible via the road, coastal footpath or a passenger ferry from Salcombe town centre.
